Project Description
FALL BRINGS OUT THE COLOURS AND ENDS THE SUMMER
Woods in Finland carry various berries and mushrooms that grow wild and sweet, ripening with the arrival of the fall. While Blueberry becomes ready for picking already in July Cowberry needs longer – the best time for harvesting taking place from September to October. The best time for wild mushrooms is from early September to October.
The nature prepares for the winter by turning the green into beautiful fall colors showing shades of brown and rust, yellow and red. The fall is the best time for freshest air.
Typically fall in Southern Finland starts in September and ends with the first snow latest in December.
The temperatures vary from 0 ºC (32 ºF) to 15 ºC (60 ºF).
